WORKSAMPLES

In this section, I’d like to provide a deeper insight into my work. These are projects that had a significant impact on me, helped me grow creatively or technically — or were simply a lot of fun.

Canary Black - Shiny Tokyo Night (2023)

Automatik VFX commissioned me to create a 3D environment for a skyscraper stunt. Focused lighting in darkness, neon reflections distorted by subtle imperfections in the window panes and tons of geometry were some of the highlights of this 3D stunt.

Das Boot (2023)

I hired on the boat for D-Facto VFX. I created water replacements to transform anchored ships on the high seas, adorned houses with ominous flags, and illuminated submarines in lightless depths. The tasks were diverse, and so was the array of tools used: Clarisse, 3D Studio Max,  Houdini and Maya were all part of the wolf pack.

Star Trek - Lighting for Darkness (2013)

I got the opportunity to work as a Lighting Artist for Star Trek into Darkness at Pixomondo Berlin. As a big fan of the franchise, this brought together the best of both worlds for me.

Laura's Star - From Blocking to Lighting (2008)

My first Job as a Berlin Resident, third Animated Feature Project. For Cartoon-Film, I initially worked as a blocking artist — setting up cameras, posing characters, and creating the overall shot layout. Once the animation was completed, I moved to the lighting department. During the critical final phase of the project, I was sent six month to our partner studio in Beijing to help streamline processes on-site.

Berliner Fenster - Animation for the Subway

I created a bumper for the Public Transportation in Berlin. I handled every aspect of this project myself, from the initial idea to the final rendering.
